2006 - present Graduate school of Seoul National University (Visual Communication Design) 2001 - 2005 BFA in the Faculty of Craft & Design, Seoul National University (Ceramic Craft) and god said, "let there be light," and there was light. _ genesis 1:3 Visual stimulation is the strongest message based on which human beings see, feel, think and behave in a certain way. For those who can see, being not able to see things is beyond imagination. But are they really not able to 'see' things when sights are deprived of? How can they 'see' in a different way? We all know that malfunctioning of one of organs of perceptions is compensated by the other organs. That’s how we recognise the world that we are living in even though all the five senses do not function well. As Mother Nature is compressed in the human body, mankind has applied the mechanism of the parts of human body, or living creatures, to create movable objects. Furthermore, man-made objects in many cases are created to do what the human body cannot do. Any lighting objects, including the LED in the work, also do what we cannot do. The selection of LED as the key medium in the work is meaningful because light has been the most critical factor in diverse forms of art for a long time. LED has become a frequently-used material in modern art in which the diverse colours, that LED emit as it is turned on and off, is esthetically used. But can we 'see' the beauty of the light differently? Can wee 'see' it without eyes? If we can, I hope I can spare time and talk about 'seeing' differently with this work. |

| This study focuses on how to read textual expressions by using tactual & visual senses. Each installation works by an input signal from a touch sensor. Spectators can see texts and pictures, and hear the sounds by tactual input behavior. | ||||
